July 2014 Newsletter – Introduction Welcome to our July 2014 Newsletter! It is finally summer in Vancouver and the weather has graced our lives with a lot of sunshine. The temperatures throughout British Columbia have risen, reaching record levels in some cities (over 35C in a few days). Vancouver has been experiencing an average of 25C during the day for the past couple of weeks. On July 2nd, Pattison School welcomed 71 new students in our Summer School. Summer School Session The 2014 Summer School has been a success. Students from Canada, Japan, Korea, Iran, Vietnam, Mexico and China have joined our Summer School program that started this past July 2nd. Pattison School is running 6 classes in total, distributed in the morning and in the afternoon periods: English 10 (2 classes), English 11 (2 classes), English 12, and Social Studies 11. Classes will finish on August 8th. Students who meet the required learning outcomes and minimum average grades will receive full credits for their courses.
