Stanley Park named ‘world’s best landmark and park in the world’.
On June 18th, 2014 Stanley Park was named ‘world’s best park in the world’ by TripAdvisor.
Stanley Park is one of the most popular attractions in Vancouver for both tourists and local residents, drawing an estimated eight million visitors every year. The park has a long history and was one of the first areas to be explored in the city.
Unlike other urban parks created by landscape architects, Stanley Park is a 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest. It offers many attractions including the Vancouver Aquarium, Beaver Lake, Miniature Railway, 9 O’clock Gun, Brockton Point & Lighthouse, Klahowya Village, Totem Poles and Vancouver Rowing Club. The park also features kilometres of trails and beaches, scenic views, majestic trees, and children’s play areas.
