The 2014 Euclid Contest

We are happy to announce that two of our students, Ms. Rose Du and Ms. Nancy Teng, have been recognized for their high level placement in the recently held Euclid Contest offered by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC).

The CEMC was founded in 1995 and is housed within the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. By means of contests, workshops, online resources and publications, the Centre support to elementary and secondary schools.

The Euclid contest is designed for students in their final year of secondary school, being an opportunity to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving skills. The 2014 Euclid Contest was written by approximately 16,000 students from over 1,400 schools.

We congratulate our students Ms. Du and Ms. Teng for their achievement, and our Math teacher, Ms. Ann Erfan, who facilitated the students’ entry to the contest, and supervised their efforts.
